Divisoria Haul | Divi Series Part 1

Divisoria is a famous shopping district here in the Philippines. It's the place to go if you want to buy inexpensive yet on-trend items!

I grew up in a humble home where going to Divisoria is just a normal thing. But as I go around YouTube, I noticed a lot of people, especially Filipinos, get more and more interested in watching Divisoria-themed videos. Hence, my so called DIVI SERIES. This is my first-time ever to do a YouTube series on my channel and I am just so happy and excited! In this series, I will be featuring stuff that could be bought in Divisoria. Things that you wouldn't know were actually from Divisoria if I didn't tell you.

Part 1 of the Divi Series is a usual Haul Video that you guys love. I went to Divisoria with my cousins and when I got home, I decided to film a haul video. The things that I got were all so cute, and cheap, of course!

I used to be so conscious of look whenever I would film a video for you guys. But since I wanted the haul to be authentic, I went ahead and filmed the video even though I had just gotten home. The response of the viewers was overwhelming, really! Many of them said I looked good in the video and praised me for looking natural. OMG! 5 years on YouTube and I have always stressed myself putting thick makeup before filming a video but never did I imagine that people would still appreciate my simple, almost bare, haggard look. Hehe

Watch the video below to see everything that I got from Divisoria.

Seen the video? What's your favorite item? Mine would be the emoji plushies, camera-ish phone case and the bubble gun!

Let me know if you guys like shopping at Divisoria, too! I LOVE shopping there and I'm not even faking it. I just love how my Php 1,000 could go a long way while I would only be able to buy 1 or 2 items if I were to spend it at the mall.

Thank you for reading tonight, my loves!

How Much FREE Products Do Bloggers Get (in a week)?!

You know that one of the perks of being a blogger is that we get free stuff for us to blog, to try or to feature on our blog. But do you really have an idea how much free stuff we get?

Last week, I received quite a number of parcels so I decided to do another Haul video.

I got a LOT that I was even able to write this word using some of them!

Watch the video to see how many items I got! I promise you, you will like everything!

Products and Brands I mentioned in the video:

SOUFEEL

ALTHEA Korea

Cathy Doll

Pink Sugar

Colour Collection

Ever Bilena

Asian Secrets

Woah! I know what you're thinking right now. THAT'S A LOT! Yes, it is! But please don't think that I posted this to brag or to show-off the things that I have. In fact, my goal here is to inspire you. Did you know that we were so poor when I was young that I couldn't even afford to buy a cute lip gloss or a cologne, let alone any branded stuff? I still remember how I used to ask my friends for some cologne or baby powder because I couldn't afford them at that time. But, look at where I got now! I now have stuff that I don't even need to ask people for or buy...because they get sent to me for free. My point here is to never lose hope no matter how hard or hopeless your situation may be now. Sometimes, life gives you a 360 degree turn and you won't be able to say no to it because it will just happen. So, always stay positive!

Ooh, I also got this BDJ Box Luxe Edition featuring... SHISEIDO! Too bad, this box arrived after I was done editing the haul video. Would have been a perfect addition to my weekly "sponsored" haul video. Oh well! I love this box so much that I decided to make a separate "unboxing" video. I hope you enjoy!

Some people say I am blessed. But more than that, I feel really thankful that all of these blessings are coming my way now! Not only material things but the gift of friendship and the gift of love... God has been showering me with a lot of those lately so I am really thankful!

I hope you enjoyed reading. (a.k.a. looking at the pictures. hehe) I am quite a busy blogger this week as YouTube Fan fest is happening on Wednesday, then I have a Nail Art Workshop on Saturday then I'll be attending a Debut Party on Sunday. In between, I still have to edit videos and update this blog. Whew! I love my job! See you guys at the YTFF and at my very first Nail Art Event!

Haul : Cute Things You Need This Summer!

For us Filipinos, Summer is the season that we have a weird relationship with! We love it because we can now wear bright and printed clothes without feeling off, students get their school vacation while some people get to show-off their body in bikinis and in trunks! However, we hate it because it's just too darn hot that even the thought of moving or going somewhere already makes us feel hot, sweaty and sticky!

Good thing, Summer doesn't last forever but air-conditioned shopping malls are here to stay with us! I love shopping! And in my opinion, what makes me special is that I never feel ashamed that I am not rich and that I love shopping for inexpensive things. Say, Divisoria and Ukay-ukay! I was cleaning my room one day when I realized that I have bought a lot of cute stuff. The sight of those colorful cuties made me decide to film this haul video!

Don't let the pictures fool you into thinking I bought only these items! I actually got a whole lot more of cute stuff that you might also want to buy for yourself this summer! Enjoy watching!

Some of my favorite purchases were the swimsuits that I just can't wait to wear when I hit the pool or beach! My friend laughed when I showed her my pineapple-print swimsuit. But to make her stop laughing, I told her I would buy her a cactus-print swimsuit when I see one. Lol

I also can not wait until I am ready to film my Most Requested room tour video! I promise that it's coming soon! I just need to arrange some more areas of it until it's ready to be shown to the world. My room is super tiny but I am excited for you guys to see it.

Did you watch the video? Which of the items I showed is your favorite and would buy for yourself when you see it?

Also, I am now editing a nail art tutorial video. Are you guys excited for it? It will be up this Wednesday on our YouTube channel! Please stay tuned for it!

Korean Beauty Products Haul (Althea Korea PH)

I love Korean products! Some of the many reasons why I like their products are their wide range of choices, product contents, effectivity and packaging!

I discovered an online shop that recently launched here in the Philippines. It's called Althea Korea. It is an online shop that is currently operating in Asian countries such as Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines. They just recently launched here in our country, by the way! What you will surely love about this shop is that they ship their products straight from Seoul, Korea! That makes their prices cheaper compared to other online shops. You can also be sure that the products you are getting from them are authentic!

Here is my haul video showing the products that I got straight from Korea!

What are the PROs of shopping online?

  • You get to buy stuff without having to step outside your home.
  • You can also go shopping even if you have a lot of things to do. (Overtime at work. Stuck in traffic, etc)
  • Most online shops offer Free Shipping.
  • Since you are already on the internet, you can read blog reviews first before actually buying.
  • Most parcels will be sent directly to your home! Now, that is hassle-free!

You will enjoy all the things I mentioned above if you shop at Althea Korea.

They offer Free Shipping to their customers. If you also sign up on their website on their opening month, February 2016, you will get 300 Free Shopping Credits. That is like P300 more for you to let you buy few more products! They have a lot to offer their buyers this month but I am so forgetful so kindly check Althea Korea's website HERE for more information about their products and promos!

Which among the products I showed are you most curious or excited about? I have already tried most of them and they were impressive! I also filmed another review video so please stay tuned!

Are you following me on Instagram yet? It's @RealAsianBeauty!

Daiso Japan Makeup Haul + Tutorial and Review!

Daiso has been around for quite some time already. But I used to not be a fan of it since all I can remember was me getting dizzy each time I would enter the store when  was younger because they had a lot of stuff inside! But 2 years ago, my Mom and I went to Daiso store in Robinson's Magnolia just to kill time. I was so impressed at how many cute, unique and cheap stuff they sell!

Since then, I have never been to a mall that has a Daiso store in it without me going inside the Japanese shop. I just have to see what new items they have! My room now is filled with a lot of stuff I got from Daiso for just Php 88! I am still organizing my room but I can't wait until I'm able to film my very own ROOM TOUR video! Yes, you heard it! ROOM TOUR! Hehe I'm excited to show you the cute stuff in my room that were from Daiso!
Aside from room decorations, kitchen utensils, toys and toiletries, they also sell some Japanese Makeup. I got intrigued one day and decided to buy a few items. After that, I thought you would want to know if their makeup is good so I decided to film a tutorial / review video!

Here is everything that I got from Daiso! It's surprising how their make-up line is complete from BB Cream, Eyeshadow, False Eyelashes to Highlighter!

I know you are curious. I got 15 items and each item costs Php 88 each. So in total, I spent Php 1,320 (~ USD 28) for this video tutorial.

Here is the video. Enjoy!
(I'm sorry if the video quality is low because I still haven't taken my DSLR to the repair shop.)

I liked almost half of the items I reviewed. But some of my favorites are the false eyelashes and the eyelash glue. They remind me of Dolly Wink products!

Such pretty flat lay! So cute, girly and organized! You're most certain that the background is also as nice, organized and cute as the stuff on the feathery cloth, right?

WRONG!! Hehe This is what most followers of Bloggers and YouTubers don't know. Sometimes, for just a single flat lay photo, we turn our room upside down, sometimes even inside out!

And that, my friends, was also how I lost my 32GB Memory Card! I was taking a flat lay photo one night when my 16GB memory card got full memory. I took my 32GB and put it inside the camera. I removed it, transferred the photo to my laptop, tried to de-clutter my room then went to bed. The next morning, my 32Gb memory card was nowhere to be found! OMG! It has some raw videos that I need for my YouTube videos and some memories of my 2015... I already looked in my room, searched the trash, put the bed up, searched inside drawers... but it's nowhere to be found. I don't know how it got lost when the 1 Peso coin under my bed that was there unmoved for a year was still there when I went searching for the card! *sigh*

Anyway, here is the look that I came up with using all Daiso makeup products!

What do you guys think?

I recommend trying :

  • Eyelash Glue
  • False Eyelashes
  • Eyeshadow Palette
  • Eyebrow Pencil
  • Bb Cream

Don't buy! :

  • Eyebrow Mascara
  • Blush
  • Black Eyeliner
  • Lip Balm / Gloss
  • Blending Sponge

I am still trying to improve my makeup skills. But I hope you like the look I came up with.

Also, I wish I could travel Japan this year! I am sure they have awesome stuff there! I want to hoard Japanese eyelashes, eyeliners, anything that has cute packaging, all flavors of KitKat and other things I don't need but would buy anyway just because it's cute! ^^

What I Got for Christmas - Instagram Shoutout -2016 Resolutions

Happy New Year, everyone! This is our first blog post for 2016. What did you guys do on New Year's eve? I go on my Facebook and see a lot of food photos and family photos from my friend's reunions with their relatives. I just spent it at home with my Mom, Step-dad and Fluffy. It was small and simple. Next time (December 2016), I'd like to celebrate big and grand for a change! Hehe

Anyway, on the eve of New Year, I decided to film a quick video to show you guys the things I got for Christmas.

Here it is!

I did not get a lot of things for Christmas because I just work at home. So I did not have any Christmas parties to attend nor Monito or Monita to exchange gifts with. I also was not able to meet my friends because they were all busy with their families. That's one of the downsides of just working at home, you guys! However, the things that were given to me were still all appreciated.

One of my favorite stuff is the Instax Camera in Pink! Yay!! I have only taken 3 photos using it, though, The film is so expensive that I want every photo I take with it to be worth the Php 36 pesos per shot. Harhar

The next day, January 1, I also just stayed at home. (Haaay, the life of a home-based worker. Some people complain that they have to work on holidays while I long to go out, even on holidays, because I'm always just at home. NOT that I'm complaining, though. I love my job! I'm just trying to compare.) I stayed at home and decided to organize my stuff. First, I organized all the products that I got for 2015.
This is just half of all the products I got for 2015. Some of them I have used already and some of them I already gave away to relatives and friends. One of the things I'm thankful for is that I was able to work with brands and companies last year. It's overwhelming to think that these known brands trusted me to work with them I'm really so grateful!

Next, I organized my coins. Last year, I kept all my changes and coins in two separete containers. One for the 5 and 10 Pesos coins and the another one for the 1 Peso and other coins. I guess breaking piggy banks on New Year will bring luck! I hope!

Do you guys have piggy banks at home or do you keep your coins? Let me know in the comments section below! I want to know that I'm not the only one that do this. :)

New Year is also the time for a New Look! It's been a long time since I last had full bangs ala Koreana. What do you guys think?

My 2016 Resolutions :

  1. Drink lots of water and sleep early.
  2. Be consistent in uploading videos.
  3. Save more money.
  4. Spend less on material things but more on experiences.
  5. Love myself MORE!

So, that's the latest update on your favorite Filipina blogger's life.
.
.
.
That literally made me choke... and cringe! Lol

How about you guys? I want to know how you spent the first day of your 2016! Leave them in the comments section below! Happy New Year, my lovely readers! Thank you for always reading! Mwah!

Everything came in 2 so I decided to give the other set to 1 lucky viewer! Yay!

*drum roll*

The LUCKY WINNER is...

Congratulations! Let's meet up NEXT YEAR so I could give your prize. By next year, I mean January 2016. hehe

Ending this blog post with this photo of me. This was candid, I swear! I was trying to hit the record video button when I pressed shutter button. The photo turned out so nice! I look so blooming in the picture, don't you agree? ^^ I know the answer why I looked nice in the picture and in the video, but I'm not telling you guys why. I'm a bully like that. Hehe

If you entered the giveaway but did not win, do not feel sad or bad. I thought this year, I should give back to loyal readers, viewers and followers. So for each month, I will be giving a prize to the most loyal and most active follower! Yay! Don't you guys think that's a nice idea? hehe

Huge Makeup Haul - December 2015

Merry Christmas, everyone! How was your Christmas celebration? Mine was very simple but it was still special and I was still grateful that I got to celebrate another Christmas.

Anyway, a few days before Christmas, I filmed a makeup haul showing the products I got for the month of December. Some of you have noticed that I'm becoming more inclined to makeup these days. That's because my skin is somehow getting better! Yay!

I love doing hauls because I love recommending new products to you guys! I also love the excitement in opening new packages and parcels and showing them to you in a video!

How do you like the new background, by the way? Instead of the usual plain white wall, I decided to film in front of my shoe cabinet. I'm not sure if that's a good idea, though. So, please let me know if you like it or if I should go back to the plain white wall background. Leave your comments below! :)

Watch the haul video here :

I am so excited to try the Butter London nail polishes since I have been wanting to try that brand for the longest time! Blog/Video review on the Pro Studio Brushes, Beauty Blender, Lancome Mascara and Daiso Makeup coming soon so please stay tuned!

* * *

As for my Christmas Eve and Christmas Day celebration, I just spent it at home with my Mom, Step-dad and dog. It was small and simple, but I was still thankful that everyone is healthy for Christmas. We were together and that's what really matters, right?

I made some Chocolate cupcakes with pink frosting, Baked One-pot Alfredo and Blueberry Cheesecake. My Mom made DIY Ham, Lumpia, Chicken and Pork Barbecue and Macaroni Salad. Yummmmm!
It was my first time doing the 3 dishes, so I was lacking in some areas. My Chocolate cupcake's frosting was too sweet and it wasn't stiff enough, my Baked Alfredo was too dry and the Blueberry Cheesecake's cream didn't get fluffy... But everything was still good, especially the blueberry cheesecake! I loved it! hehe I just got the recipe from YouTube and it's a no-bake cheesecake.

As for the gifts, I did not receive a lot of gifts this year. It's okay, though. Because once you get older, you slowly receive less and less gifts. Because of that, I just became my own Santa and bought myself a gift! I have looooong been wanting to have an Instax camera but didn't want to splurge because I thought it would be absurd to have another camera when I already have 3 working cameras. But a day before Christmas, I went to a camera shop, closed my eyes and just purchased a Pink Polaroid! hehe

I haven't used the camera yet but I will definitely film an unboxing and review video on it! Please stay tuned.

Merry Christmas, everyone! How did you guys celebrate and what gifts did you receive?

HUGE HAUL!! September 2015

One of the videos that I enjoy filming are haul videos! I mean, shopping and then turning on the camera just to talk about the things I bought, how can that not be fun? I know you guys also enjoy watching haul videos so whenever possible, I make it a point to film one.

Here is another haul video showing the things that I got for the month of September! And this, my friends, is possible the biggest monthly haul you will ever watch!
I showed the items in 2 parts : first half of the month and then latter part of the month.

FIRST BATCH

SECOND BATCH

I know you are curious to see everything I got so please click the play button now! :)

I also have no idea why I got a lot of items for this months, usually it would just be 10-15 items in a month. I guess staying in Tarlac for 5 weeks made me crave shopping and new items.

Here is a closer look to some of the items I mentioned in the video.

SKII Products from the Beauty Bound Asia Phase 2 Event here in Manila. Read more HERE.

The newest Whisper Skin Love delivered to me by a handsome delivery guy. Read more HERE.

A TON of Biore Makeup Remover products, sunscreens and BB Creams. Read more HERE.

Some bags, YouTube stuff and skin care products.

Super KAWAII stuff I got from my favorite Japanese store, Daiso.

Some apparels. I noticed I have been buying a lot of blue stuff lately.

Some items from my favorite shopping mall ever, TriNoma.

Pasalubong from my friend who went to Japan. You know who you are. Thank you!

So, that's everything I got for this month. Please note, however, that this post/video is not intended to brag or show-off the stuff I have. I do haul videos to help you guys decide which stuff to buy on your next shopping. It's also my way of somehow reaching out to you guys as I know girls like talking about the stuff they went shopping for, right?

How I wish it's like this every month! I would love to have stuff as plenty as this on a monthly basis. BUT I also need to save money for my future and for my kids. hehe So, we will see next month.

Thank you for reading today! Please do not forget to follow me on Instagram for some daily hauls and behind the scenes of my life. It's @RealAsianBeauty.

Singapore Haul

Hi! I just got back from a recent trip to Singapore. I did a little shopping so I decided to film a quick haul video to show the things I got.

It's not a lot, though, because things are expensive in Singapore and most of the stuff I saw can also be found here in the Philippines.

Anyway, here is the haul video. Enjoy! :)

For those asking if I filmed vlog videos, yes I did! But it's just that a lot of things came up so I can't squeeze video editing in my schedule right now. But I will edit the videos soon so please look forward to some Singapore and Malaysia vlog videos in the next few days.

Thanks for reading today!

Haul : Cute and Inexpensive Things in Divisoria

I love going to Divisoria! I love how I get to take home 200% stuff compared to when I shop at the mall. People that have been there will understand the feeling. And no, not everything from there is low quality or "cheap". Truth is, some stuff you see at the mall also come from Divisoria. They just add logo, label and tag price to the stuff. Voila! Price of it gets doubled! So the best thing is to shop where shopping malls shops, if that makes sense! hehe

My birthday is coming soon and I want to make this birthday special by celebrating. I don't always throw parties but this is different because I'll be celebrating my last line-of-twenty birthday. I want to be able to remember the feeling of being twenty-ish when I get older. So, I went there to buy some stuff. Number 1 on the list are the gold letter balloons that I always see on Pinterest and on Instagram!

Watch my haul :

Everything that I showed in the video come down to Php 3,000. It was so funny because I spent my money to the last cent that I had to deprive myself of food and water and had to starve until I got home because I wanted to be able to buy everything I need. You see, the thing about going to Divisoria is to bring just the amount of money you need and add some extra bucks only. You could bring Php 10,000, buy everything you see and still want for more. Divisoria really has it all! And the best part is that everything is so cheap!

What's your favorite item among the things I showed in the video?

Also, one of my birthday wishes is to have more followers on Instagram. Can we have 4,000 on or before my birthday, please? hehe Follow me! My username is @RealAsianBeauty. ^^

Things I got for Christmas and New Year!

Hello, guys and girls! I apologize for the lack of posts lately. I am back in Tarlac to spend more time with my grandfather(Lolo). They don't have internet connection so the only chance I get to stay connected with you guys is to go to our relative's house and connect to their wifi for a while. I miss you guys and I miss the constant posts and videos I make... but I know that if I miss this chance to spend more time with my Lolo, I will never have the chance again.

It's so weird that my grandfather is bed ridden, can't walk, can't stand and can't barely speak and open his eyes yet he's still able to teach me some lessons. Just this morning, I wept because I was so touched when I saw two barbers that came to our house to cut his hair and trim his mustache. I realized what a good man he was when he was still able that people still go out of their way like that just to do simple things for him like trim his hair. I realized that it's not about giving money or luxurious gifts that will determine how people will treat you when you get older. It's actually about how you treat them when you are still able. Now that my grandfather is weak, the only words I hear from people here in Tarlac are about how kind and good-hearted he was back then. It hit me. All the sincere good things and good deeds you do when you're young will be all be repaid sincerely when you reach your nightfall. I am so thankful that I was still given the chance to spend time with him. Even for a while...

There are really lots of things to be thankful for in this life! All you have to do is to feel from your heart and be truly grateful, always.

I have a lot of things to be thankful for. Some of them are material things... like these things I got for Christmas and for New Year. This post may be 15 days behind but better late than never, right?

Please watch the video here to see all the things I got :

I like all of them, but my favorites are the YouTube Tumbler from my Mom, the personalized Forever Flawless dog tag with my name on it from Forever Flawless Clinic and the Beauty Blender from my cousin in California, Em Em.

I remeber when I was still teaching Koreans at my old office... Koreans are generally busy and stressed most of the time. At times, I would speak to an adult student and he'd/she'd tell me about how stressful life in Korea is and how there's nothing to be happy about. I would always tell them to get a notebook and a pen and each night, write a thing or two that they're grateful for that day. At first, it could be hard to commit doing that, especially if you're not really that type of person. But it really helps to open your eyes, look around and appreciate the little things in life. For when years go by, we never know that those little things could be the great things that would really impact us.

It's a warm and sunny day here in Tarlac. Thanks for reading today!
