Emoji Nail Art Tutorial

RealAsianBeauty's Nail Art is baaaack! Hehe I thought of doing this nail art design when I got this Emoji shirt from a Thrift Shop for only $1. How cute, right? I also got the Emoji mini-pillows from Divisoria for $1 each. I knew I just had to make an Emoji nail art tutorial!

What is EMOJI, though? Emoji is referred to as a small digital image or icon used to express an idea, feeling, reaction and emotion and is used on electronic communication, most usually referred to as social media.

Chatting through social media is so popular these days! And a chat will not be complete without including an emoji or many emojis to intensify the feeling or the emotion of the message. It is also often used when leaving comments on pictures... What are your favorite emojis that you often use? Here are the 5 most common icons that I use when I chat or when I leave comments on pictures or statuses.

I am so proud of myself for coming up with another cute nail art design! I hope you watch the video so you could tell me what you think about it. ^^

A nail art story : Did you guys know that it took me 2 days to film this video? The first day, I started at 5 PM and then failed miserably by 1 AM! The emojis were just horrible and did not look cute at all. I kept redoing each nail but they just kept ending up messy! I whispered to myself : Gosh, even nail art skill was taken away from me!! I grabbed some cotton and nail polish remover, removed the layers of polishes and went to bed. The next day, I tried to calm myself. I told myself I can do it. I even prayed and asked God to give me steady hands and keen eyes to successfully paint my nails. I started at 6 PM and successfully ended at 12 Midnight without having to redo a single nail! Yay! Of course, editing and uploading are completely different stories! Hehe

Emoji Nails, Emoji Shirt plus Emoji Mini-pillows would make a perfect selfie! Here I am, taking a selfie using my favorite Casio Exilim TR60 Selfie Camera.

Since we are already talking about Nail Art and Selfie, I would like to invite everyone to my 1st EVER Nail Art Workshop!!!

Descendants Of The Sun Nail Art - 태양의 후예

Surprise, guys! I'm sure you didn't see this coming! I was so focused on doing other sorts of videos that I have forgotten where we started-nail art videos! Whenever I get invited to YouTube talks and seminars, I always advise upcoming YouTubers to strive to be different than the rest. To do what everyone else is NOT doing. I kept on telling people about it yet I didn't notice that I was slowly unfollowing my own advice. I looked at my videos and realized I was actually doing what everyone else is already doing on YouTube. Somehow, that served as a wakeup call. Now, I will go back to doing fun and unique videos for you guys such as nail arts, K-pop inspired videos and DIY's.

Descendants Of The Sun is one of the most, if not the most, popular dramas in South Korea this year. It became popular not only because it's star-studded, but the story is also great!

I decided to do a nail art tutorial when I saw that a lot of my friends on Faceook were raving about this drama! The rave was just too much, I was so close to thinking we're actually Koreans! Hehe

Fun fact, did you know that the last nail art video that I did was back in October 2015 while the last K-pop inspired nail art was back in May 2015. Geez, has it been that long already? I guess it has really been that long since I felt like a beginner when I filmed the video for this. Before, it would take only 5 hours to finish painting a design. While this DOTS nail art took me 2 separate days to film! But I enjoyed it, nonetheless. It felt like I rekindled a relationship with an ex-lover I never really moved on from. Cheesy!

Here is the Descendants Of The Sun Nail Art tutorial. I hope you guys enjoy it!

Here's where I got the inspiration:

INDEX: Korean Flag

MIDDLE: Yoo Si Jin's military uniform (Camouflage)

RING: Kang Mo Yeon's outfit

PINKY: The breathtaking clouds that could be seen in almost every picturesque shot. Great cinematography this drama has, really!

THUMB: The 3 stars on the hat

Can I tell you guys something? I haven't finished this drama yet! Hehe Usually when I like a drama, I would be able to finish it 4 days! This drama, on the other hand, is just too good that I don't want it to end yet, at least not on my mind! So, no spoilers, please! I need to find out on my own what will happen to Yoo Si Jin and Kang Mo Yeon's love story!

Though I have to be honest that Song Hye Gyo's  character in this drama does not amuse me  much. I'm used to seeing her act bubbly and cute that her unpredictable and grumpy character make me cringe. I also prefer her happy-go-lucky "Jessie" character over the "Too-much-Miltang" Kang Mo Yeon character. But it could just be me. I am sure a lot of people found her character in this drama lovable and likable!

Anyway, I found these  cute DOTS phone cases when I searched for some drama photos. I mean, how cute are they? I'm positive these could be easily found in Seoul...

What do you guys think of our Nail Art Tutorial come back? Your opinion matters to me so please let me know if you would like to see more nail art tutorials.

Big Bang Loser Nail Art - BIGBANG | 빅방 루저

Here's another nail art for the VIP's!

I'm not really a fan of Big Bang because I prefer the cutesy idol groups over the masculine groups that show swag like Big Bang. But I have to admit that the boys are really good looking and talented in music. I also always like their songs when they release new ones and always add them to my K-pop playlist.

They have been on hiatus for years and now that they are back with a new song/album, I didn't want to miss the chance to create another Big Bang inspired nail art.

Here are some of the inspirations I got from their outfits in the Loser video.

Watch the tutorial here ;

I wasn't able to include TOP because the prints on his outfits were too intricate.

I hope you like this simple nail art I did.

Manny Pacquaio (Philippines) Nail Art (Pacquiao Versus Mayweather)

The fight of the century is FINALLY happening! We have been waiting for this for the longest time, us Filipinos! You guys don't know how excited we were when we heard the announcement that the battle is finally happening! We are also nervous, of course. But in an interview, Manny Pacquiao told the Filipinos not to worry about anything because we aren't the ones going to be in the ring and go against Mayweather but him. He told us to just sit back, pray to God and trust him that he'll get through it.

But we are still nervous. Nervous and excited.

To show my support to Manny Pacquiao, I decided to do a simple nail art using the signs, symbols and logos that are often associated to him.

Please watch the tutorial below :

I decided to draw a Pac-Man on my index finger since people call Pacquiao as Pacman. I didn't know Manny converted to Christian from Catholic so the rosary is now irrelevant. But for those like me that still don't know, the rosary would still be meaningful. Manny Pacquiao used to pray first before a fight. He'd always hold a rosary with him so I thought of drawing one on my pinky. The Philippine flag should also be included since he carries our flag and gives us pride each time he fights.. and wins! For the rest of the nails, I decided to just paint the tip in blue and in red to signify the colors of the Philippine flag.

I have always admired Manny Pacquiao. Many people call him arrogant or "mayabang". I haven't met him in real life yet but I am sure that he is not. He is known here in our country to have helped a lot of people. He always looks back to where he came from and never forgets to help the people who helped him when he was still little. He has a LOT now but still keeps his feet on the ground. He seems like a nice person and is always genuinely happy to meet new people, especially sign stuff and shake hands with his fans. What a really nice person to look up to. His sport may be violent but he surely has a heart of gold. Truly a pride for us Filipinos!

Good luck, Manny! Win or Lose, you always, always make us proud! The fact that you are and have always been willing to face Mayweather is already courageous. If God still grants you the belt and chooses to make you us the winner, then that would be just our consolation. You are always an inspiration and a pride to many Filipinos!

Tomorrow, the WHOLE Philippines will stop just to witness Pacquiao's fight.

The Avengers Nail Art (Thor, Captain America,Iron Man, Hulk)

I wasn't really into comic-inspired and superhero inspired movies but it changed when I watched The Avengers and fell in love with one character. Can you guess with who? Yes, LOKI! (hehe) That's why I was a little sad when I found out he wasn't going to be in this year's installment of The Avengers movie. Anyway, I am still looking forward to it which will be showing today!

I did a nail art inspired by the main characters of the movie. I made sure the design was easy and simple so that anyone, even beginners, can still copy the design.

I got the inspiration from their costumes. In the video, though, I used metal studs and rhinestones. I got them from a website called lightinthebox.com. But if you don't have them, you can get a silver nail polish and paint some dots and a star to complete the design.

Watch the tutorial here :

This is also my first nail art in a while. I'm happy that you guys still like my nail art and I promise I will make more again soon. Any requests or suggestions? K-Pop, perhaps? :)

I hope you like this nail art design!

Let us know if you've seen the movie and what you thought about it.

5 Ways to Repair Cracked/Chipped Polish

Is chipped nail polish ever considered cute and attractive? No, never! Actually, it has become a beauty and fashion taboo. It's either you get your nails done or not at all. That's why it sucks when manicure chips even if you got it done just a day or 2 ago.

So, I decided to make this video showing you some tips and ways to rescue chipped manicure.

The nail polishes that I used are these colorful ZOYA nail polishes from their Stunning Collection. The colors are so vibrant and pigmented that they are able to conceal the ugly chipping in just a few coats! They are also shiny and last long enough on the nails even without the use of top coat or clear polish.

Please watch the video below. The video quality seems a little off because of the lighting and camera setting. I really hate it when my my camera and light connive to make my hands looks dry, dark and ugly. lol I am telling you that my hands aren't really that ugly in person. Anyway, enjoy the video!

Here is one example of rescuing chipped nail polish. Some people resort to just removing the polish. But don't you think it's such a waste of time and money? Grab a polish in another color and a tiny sponge then create pretty ombre on your naisl!

Got a little more time in my hands when I did these lucky paper stars! hehe

I hope you enjoyed this video and the tips I showed you.
